  Who do you consider as a friend ??

  when we were witnesses every other witness was our "friend" ,but more often than not they were just aquantinces involved in the same religion as we were .

  at the time i felt i would have given my life for others in my hall .

  i tried very hard to be a good friend to others by showing personal interest in their lives and offering encouragement or help when they needed it ,but i never really felt a real connection with most .. i always wanted to have a friend and be the type of friend that could just stop by to shoot the breeze at anytime and feel welcome .

  a friend is not someone who you know for 20 yrs you've been there for them helping them when their life turned upside down and one day in a private conversation you express misgivings about the organization and they turn you in to the inquisition telling them word for word what you said but never letting on to you till after you've had your "meeting" with the elders and you express the desire not to speak to them again they seem surprised that you didn't view it as a loving act.

  this is just a note to all who have assured me of their fondness for me, on board and in pm.. i really appreciate it, and i feel the same about y'all.. this is a great site, and i do get a bit carried away at times.. blame it on too much loneliness and not enough to do on the job, but not on deliberate crassness.. ok?.

  Have you hit your 50's? Are you feeling it, or do you still feel young?

  i'm curious, because in my 40's i felt like a million dollars.

  i am starting to feel it,....i just don't have the stamina of working in the yard all day, coming in making dinner and getting the laundry done at the same time, or working full time.. i see the years in my face when i don't get enough sleep, and no amount of makeup makes a difference.

  my eyes seem to always look tired.

  I'm 60 and I don't like it so many aches pains that I wonder how would you know if you were seriously ill I'd live at the doctors if I got worried everytime a wierd symptom occurred I'm just going on the premise I haven't died yet. It is hard to do everything you need to on less energy you just keep going till that day comes when you can't do it anymore. I'd like to be more optimistic but "what a drag it is gettin old"

  i know there are a lot.. one belief i never understood is that blood fractions might be ok for a christian but not "whole blood".

  to me the "blood doctrine" is ridiculous from a scriptural point of view..

  I sent my saliva to family tree dna they sent me a fancy certificate with my mtdna rows of dna sequences and it said i was haplogroup h, I also received some maps of different haplogroup pathways and some confusing info and really I still don't know who I am.

  well, kinda.

  i'll be moving across country in a few weeks and i want to get a different perspective on this religion.

  so i'm playing the theocratic warfare card, rather than let them know i was once a witness and now disfellowshipped, i'll just pretend to be interested and maybe accept a bible study..lol.

  It seems your situation is like a person who was in alcatraz and the wardens thru you into the bay to the sharks but somehow you made it and now you want to swim back just to see how things have changed be careful the sharks are still there and its still a prison.
